Nice mixed lot from fantastic estate "The Monticello Vineyards Chardonnay comes from the fruit grown on the Home Ranch Vineyard in the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley. The majority of the wine is fermented in stainless steel with the balance being fermented in French oak barrels. It displays a pale golden tone with brilliant clarity. Very expressive aromas of golden apple, fig, and ripe pear integrate nicely with richer aromas of light caramel, hints of truffle, and toasted vanillin oak. On the palace, the wine has a beam of bright acidity, encompassed by a full-bodied creamy texture and a lingering finish."
